Hartbreak for local hero George Boillot ,Peugeot,during the 1914 French Grand Prix,he brakes down on the last lap,catching the leader Christian Lautenschlager on Mercedes.Here Boillot climbes from his car while being passed by another Mercedes of Wagner.

Bexhill on Sea, this closed track was basicly a time trial up and down the sea front,a huge event for those days' ,thousends of people came to watch this novelty.
Can't imagine that now,bexhill is full of pensioners and the traffic is anoyingly slow,
must be the same folks as all those years ago!
