Concept car : Peugeot SR1 Hybrid 2010

200 years later since 1810 that Jean-Pierre and Jean-Frédéric Peugeot turned their father’s cereal mill into a steel foundry and took the Peugeot family into the industrial era, a new chapter in the Peugeot story about to open with a further evolution of the brand; a new styling direction, a new corporate Lion badge and a new signature – Peugeot MOTION & EMOTION.
Through the Peugeot SR1 Concept, the Marque reveals the stylistic design trends for its future models. The concept car embodies the new world of Peugeot, reflected by the new Lion badge which adorns its body.
Dynamic, balanced, sensual, with an exclusive high-tech interior, this “dream car” explores and reinterprets the theme of the “Grand Touring Car”.

The Peugeot SR1 concept car will be unveiled to the general public at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, in March.

Concept Car : Eco Cars-Safari

Eco Factor: Compact concept car with fuel cell engine and composite fiber panels structure.

As compared to heavy cars, small ones are often more prone to damage in case of an accident or other such incident. Safety matters more than anything else, but how about a strong compact car with a soft attitude towards nature too? The Safari concept is all about giving you all the possible advantages that a heavy vehicle can give you. All the large car dynamics like greater energy absorbing strengthened by independent structural composite fiber panels and sliding door apertures in case of side impacts and rollovers, brings it almost very near to a compact dream car. Head up Display and a center console joystick replaces the conventional interiors.

Further, a variable wheelbase ensures that you don’t miss the comfort and stability at cruising speeds. A MAGLEV driveline interested me most due its capability of enhancing fuel cell power plant integrated into the floor. Moreover, industries producing steel body panels are harmful for environment, but its structural composite plant fiber body reduces the carbon emissions generated from such industries.

The Dark side: While going through the theoretical specifications, the concept sounds great. However, it will not be easy to put it into production. Further, the pending patent for MAGLEV driveline will make us wait to see it getting into production.

Concept Car : NASA concept car

The NASA concept car (which, as far as we can tell, has nothing to do with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, though it looks like astronauts are driving it) has some pretty radical features that are immediately appealing. It has a sleek hood rather than doors — keeping the passengers more stable and safe — and dynamic wheels that'll let you pull off hairpin turns, allow the car to move perpendicularly in a snap, and even spin in place.

Oh, how we wish a vehicle like this would come out already so we wouldn't have to smash off any more bumpers. And some protection up top for those heads poking out would be nice, too. It was designed by Czech students Marek Kedzierski and Michal Vlček, studying at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín.
