Jimmy Murphy,Deusenburg,winning the 1921 French Grand Prix at Le Mans,America's first and only victory in a European Grand Prix,oil on board 18x26" sold

The twenties were the vintage years,after the great war,the first restrictions came into place,to stop the effer increasing speed,like the 2 litre formula in 1922,the cars became smaller but more sophisticated more purpose build tracks were build,the effort of racing became more concentrated.
